Choosing Your Tune
Can your music boxes play my favourite song?
Our Hand-crank and Wind-up Music Boxes (starting at £21) can play songs from a curated library of popular songs — from timeless classics, to lullabies, and well-loved pop pieces that suit most occasions. You choose from the list when you order.
If you have a specific song in mind that isn't in our library, our Digital Collection (starting at £40) can play any audio file — a recording, a piece of music, even a voice message — making it ideal for truly one-of-a-kind gifts.
Our Paper Strip Collection (from £65) takes this a step further: your chosen melody is transposed by a composer and hand-punched onto a paper strip that you feed into the box yourself.
For the ultimate bespoke option, our Luxury Custom Collection (starting at £250) features a professional metal mechanism built specifically for your melody. The result is the richest, most nuanced sound a music box can produce.

Do you sell traditional music boxes?
We do — and this is where our Luxury Custom Collection truly shines. These boxes use professional-grade metal mechanisms in the tradition of fine music box craftsmanship: 18-note, 30-note, 50-note, or 78-note, depending on the complexity and depth of sound you're after. As the note count increases, so does the richness of the arrangement and the length of the section played — from simple, beautifully clear excerpts all the way to full, orchestral-style depth.
Our wind-up boxes re also classically styled — a key winds the mechanism and the song plays automatically, exactly as a traditional musical box should.
How long does the song play for?
This varies by type:
- Hand-crank boxes play sections of up to 15 seconds on repeat, for as long as you turn the handle — you're in control of the pace and the performance.
- Wind-up boxes play a 15-second section on a continuous loop once wound.
- Digital boxes play your chosen audio file in full (up to approx. 4 minutes) each time the lid is opened or the button is pressed.
- Paper Strip boxes play for the length of your strip — longer strips can accommodate longer or more elaborate arrangements, usually between 15 - 30 seconds.
- Luxury Custom boxes play your song on a continuous loop while wound. The length of each loop naturally depends on the arrangement.

Personalisation & Design
Can I customise the design?
Yes — and this is one of the things we love doing the most. All of our music boxes offer some level of customisation, with higher-priced collections offering greater flexibility:
- Standard Collection (Hand crank or Wind-up) — choose the design, colour, and decorative finish. Hand-crank and wind-up boxes have a wide range of designs available, including bespoke options.
- Digital Collection — full aesthetic customisation: design, colour, and message.
- Mini Shapes (Heart or Square) — available with an engraved message on the lid. Please note: custom colours and designs are not currently available for the mini shapes.
- Luxury Custom Collection — these are made to order and can be tailored to your vision, from the finish of the box to the arrangement of the melody inside.
Can I customise the message?
Absolutely. All of our collections support personalised messages to varying degrees. When placing your order, simply enter your wording in the personalisation field on the product page.
If you'd like something a little unconventional — a quote, a set of coordinates, a lyric — drop us a message and we'll let you know what's possible.
Can I put my/someone's name on it?
Of course. Whether it's a name, a date, a meaningful phrase, or a combination of all three, personalised engraving is available across our collections. It's one of the things that transforms a music box from a beautiful object into something someone will keep for life.
Wedding Favours & Bulk Orders
How can I choose a music box for wedding favours?
Music box wedding favors are one of our most requested enquiries — and for good reason. They're memorable, personal, and nothing like the standard favour your guests will have seen before.
For favours, we typically recommend:
- Mini Heart or Square Boxes — compact, beautifully presented, and engravable with a name, date, or short message. Perfect for place settings.
- Hand-Crank or Wind-Up Boxes from our Standard Collection — a wider choice of designs and songs, with room for more personalisation.
The right choice depends on your budget per head, your wedding aesthetic, and whether you'd like every guest to receive the same tune or a selection. We're happy to talk it through — just get in touch.
How can I order your music boxes as wedding favours?
Please contact us directly before placing a large order so we can discuss your requirements, confirm availability, and agree on lead times. Wedding favour orders need to be planned in advance — especially for personalised pieces — so the earlier you get in touch, the better.

Do you offer discounts for large orders?
We understand that ordering in volume — for a wedding, event, or corporate occasion — is a significant commitment, and we're always happy to discuss pricing for larger quantities. Please get in touch with the number of pieces you're looking for and we'll come back to you with options.
Do you offer wholesale prices?

Ordering & Delivery
How long will my order take to arrive?
Standard delivery takes 1-2 weeks from the date of dispatch.
Luxury Custom Collection orders are made to order and require 4-8 weeks from confirmation. We'll keep you updated throughout the process.
If you're looking for a music box that plays a custom song, production times may extend by 2-4 weeks. For more information, consult our Shipping & Returns page.
Need it by a specific date? Please get in touch before ordering and we'll always be honest about what's achievable.
Can I have my order delivered directly to the recipient?
Yes. Simply enter the recipient's address at checkout. You can add a personal gift message in the order notes and we'll include it with the box — no invoice or pricing information included.
Do you offer gift wrapping?
Every Enchanted Music Box is packaged with care as standard — your order will arrive presentation-ready, in protective packaging that does justice to what's inside. For a personal gift message, just include your wording in the notes at checkout.
Caring for Your Music Box
How do I wind my music box without damaging it?
Gently does it. Wind the key slowly and stop as soon as you feel any resistance — never force it beyond that point. Over-winding is the most common cause of mechanism damage, and it's entirely avoidable. Think of it like winding a watch: the ritual is part of the pleasure.
How do I look after my music box long-term?
A well-cared-for music box can last for decades — some become treasured heirlooms. Keep your box away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and moisture. Dust it gently with a soft, dry cloth. Don't place heavy objects on top of it. Treat it as the keepsake it is, and it will reward you for years to come.
Returns & Support
What is your returns policy?
If your order arrives damaged or isn't as described, please contact us within 28 days of receipt and we'll put things right — no quibble. For personalised and engraved items, we're unable to offer returns where the order was fulfilled correctly to your specifications, so please do take care with your personalisation details before placing your order.
For non-personalised items, you may return your purchase within 28 days, provided it is unused and in its original packaging. Please contact us first so we can arrange the return.
